Anyone that tried to be funny using one line jokes has come across the horribly embarrassing situation where no one laughed. Maybe it was inappropriate material, or perhaps the audience did not understand the context.
April’s Real Deal Comedy Jam tour was one of the best comedy tours ever, the line-up was brilliant. The tour featured new comedian from London Littleman, Glenda Jaxson, Richard Blackwood, US comic Talent and as per usual was hosted by Kat.
So, everyone at work thinks you are hilarious! People at parties always flock to you so you can tell them a new joke. In school, you won the class clown trophy and you are totally proud of it. Who doesn’t like a great TV comedy? I know that I do, and there are some shows whose new episodes I look forward to every week. I try to discover as many new shows as I possibly can, and I’d like to share one established show and one newer one that I happen to be a huge fan of.
Best-selling author Terry Pratchett’s most recent (2009) novel Unseen Academicals is a satire on the phenomenon of European football (soccer), plus a number of other social activities that often go along with it. For that reason, the book may have a greater appeal to a UK audience than in America; especially since one of the main themes is football hooliganism, a distinct UK phenomenon.
