Litigation against local forestry contractors in Arrow Lakes that was filed by an American collection company has for the time being been put on hold by a Delaware judge. On January 20 a hearing was held in a U.S. court with PricewaterhouseCooper legal counsel attending via telephone conference.





What makes a company run smoothly, you may ask? The answer is easy. Money. And when the going gets tough, businesses without invoicing and any system to collect debt tend to feel the heat. It is a basic fact that any company that provides credit to its customers must send them a bill as soon as it is possible and have ways to be sure that accounts are collected on time.





Debt collectors, or bill and account collectors’ goal in life is to try to collect payment on bills that are overdue. Many bill collectors are employed by third party collection agencies. The creditor, or the company or business that is owed the debt, will often hire outside of the business; this is especially if their accounts receivable department is small.

Keeping all of this information I relayed to you in mind, if you decide that debt settlement isn’t the best option for you, there are four other main options: remain delinquent, come up with extra money to make payments, work with a credit counselor, or declare bankruptcy.
