The times were ballroom dancing was just for the old and the wealthy are gone. On television shows, dance shows are into ballroom dancing as well as dance sports. Children are even now getting into the dancing, they are wanting to be in competitions and on dance teams. This is also a great way to enjoy the reception during wedding dances and other social events. What is so good about it? Well first off, you get to learn several different ballroom dances.
In order to learn the fundamentals of ballroom dancing, its recommended that beginners start on some of the slower songs. The Waltz for example, is a popular and very common dance, very easy to learn. After you get the basics of ballroom dancing down, then you can move on and try out the harder and faster dances.
Here are 2 different types of ballroom dancing that you should check.
Waltz – if you have learned the dance move called the close dance hold, you will be using it during the waltz. This dance is actually a lot easier to learn because it is a lot slower than all the other ballroom dances. If you have mastered the footwork and the basic step, dancing the waltz during your wedding dance would never be a problem.
Tango – the tango is another type of ballroom dancing and one of the most romantic and passionate dances. The tango is in plenty of movies, just think back to when you have seen a couple dancing and the male is biting down on a rose. Even though most can argue that the tango did in fact come from Argentina, it has since then become a new American style tango to Uruguayan tango and European influences.
